PledgeStar is the brainchild of Robb Glen, Steve Kramer and Erik Lackey. Neighbors, successful entrepreneurs, and dads first and foremost.

Having experienced the challenges of Pledge Drives at their own children’s school, and with their school’s annual Jog-A-Thon imminent, they began brainstorming ways to use the digital space to improve the Pledge Drive process and make it easier to raise more money.

PledgeStar launched its first three Jog-A-Thon websites in January 2013. Rob, who is from New Zealand, had always wanted to help schools and organizations closer to home. In 2022 it finally became a reality as PledgeStar kicked off in Australia.

Thousands of schools across the United States, and now Australia, have adopted PledgeStar and raised over $150 million—and counting—in the process. And the best part: not a single school paid more than $1,195.
